Justin, Lync suddenly stopped working a few days ago on my Mac and iPad. It says “Can’t sign in due to internet connectivity…” etc. My company supports PCs and only recently barely anything at all for Mac, so I’m not getting good help there, but I use my Mac for everything and barely touch the PC. I have verified that i can sign in on my PC and that the Lync issue is only a Mac problem, and all my iPad/Mac buddies are having the same problem. My IT support did say that this is a Lync software issue globally, and that Microsoft is working on it, but I don’t even know how to get MS support. I can’t just wait around because I have a trip to the Netherlands 2moro and won’t be taking the PC, need Lync urgenty to communicate. Can you help at all? Thanks for any advice on this!!

      Hi Carol,

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Your Lync administrators will need to troubleshoot this for you if all other Mac users are affected.

I have installed the Lync client for Mac on my Macbook Pro retina. Everything works just fine except the video calling. The camera icon is grayed out and when I go to the Preferences, I don’t even see a video option. This works fine on my Windows machine at work but I can’t use video on my Mac. I have searched the web for answers but haven’t found anything. Would you happen to know what is causing the issue or how to resolve it? By the way I am on version 14.0.4.

    Thanks in advance.

I am testing Lync 2011 on Mountain Lion in an Office 365 deployment. The Lync feature comparison chart shows that Lync 2011 supports gallery view in multi-person video chats, but I see no way to enable it. Is it possible I’m missing something, or is this feature not really available for 2011? If you can help, and even if not – thanks
